On vacation, the sun shines most of the time in Mallorca. For those who don’t want to stay on the beach, there are numerous facilities such as water parks, nature parks, and other activities to enjoy the day. But even in bad weather, Mallorca has a lot to offer. In addition to various museums, there are indoor facilities and amusement parks.
In Palma de Mallorca and across the island, there are tourist destinations of all kinds. The little ones might not find a museum very exciting, but with attractions like the Botanicactus cactus garden or visits to many amusement parks, everyone will have a great time.
Each year, about 10,000 tons of salt are extracted from the “Salines de Llevant.” A small trail allows visitors to explore this 130-hectare private property.
Mallorca offers top-quality wines produced in its wineries. These can be visited in combination with a wine tasting.
Is it raining in Mallorca? What a shame, but it’s not a good reason to let a beautiful vacation day be ruined. Instead of sitting frustrated in your hotel room, consider an alternative to the beach and the sea. How about a little culture? Have you already visited Palma’s La Seu Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, or the Miró Foundation? These are just a few suggestions. From the historic La Granja estate to caves like the Coves Drach, as well as wineries, olive oil mills, or glassblowing factories—Mallorca has many attractions you can enjoy without getting wet.
Tip for drivers: Don’t park your car in areas where water cannot drain well during heavy rain, especially in sloped dead-end streets. Also, it’s best to postpone any planned trips to the Tramuntana Mountains, as driving on narrow, winding roads can be dangerous. Be especially mindful of debris on the road!
