Anyone who has always wanted to find a corner just for themselves will not go wrong with the beaches of the municipality of Artà. A little secret is the section of the natural beach that leads to Son Serra de Marina Beach. Generally, there are no services at these beaches, which is a good sign for those seeking tranquility.
Cala des Camps
Cala des Camps (also known as Calo's Cans) is a small cove in eastern Mallorca, surrounded by sandstone cliffs. The beach is made up of a thick bed of pebbles, covered with a soft layer of seaweed, giving it a unique and natural character. The water is very calm, with gentle access to the sea. There are no services available at this cove. To reach Cala des Camps, you can access it from Colònia de Sant Pere. Keep in mind that the nearby parking area often fills up quickly.
Cala Estreta
Cala Estreta is a romantic and small cove in eastern Mallorca, located near Cala Mitjana. This cove is entirely rocky, with no sand, and features a beautiful seabed, making it ideal for snorkeling. Being a secluded cove, it does not offer any services. To reach Cala Estreta, follow the road from Artà towards Capdepera. After about 10 km, at a roundabout, turn left onto the path leading to the cove. There are parking options near the cove.
Cala Matzoc
Cala Matzoc is a romantic and secluded cove located near Cala Mitjana, in eastern Mallorca. This beach is rarely visited due to its remote location, surrounded by high cliffs that offer stunning views. The cove is situated in an area rich in flora and fauna. Access to Cala Matzoc can be made on foot from Cala Estreta, with a walk of about 2.5 km.
Cala Mitjana
Dreamy sandy beach, undeveloped, dune landscape with diverse plant life, crystal-clear water, no services! Cala Mitjana beach is located in the east of Mallorca. From Artà, head towards Capdepera, and after just under 10 km, turn left at a roundabout to reach the beach.
Caló des Ermitans
Caló des Ermitans is a small and peaceful cove on the eastern side of Mallorca, with dark, coarse sand, adorned with traditional fishing boats and surrounded by tamarind trees. This secluded spot does not offer any services. To reach Caló des Ermitans, take the C-712 and turn towards Colònia de Sant Pere. Shortly after the residential area, turn left to access the cove.
Platja de San Pere
Sant Pere Beach (Platja de San Pere) is a peaceful sandy beach with golden sand, located in eastern Mallorca. This beach offers a serene atmosphere and features a new promenade. It is surrounded by tamarind trees that provide shade, and the entrance to the sea is gentle and shallow. To reach Sant Pere, take the C-712 and turn towards Colònia de Sant Pere. Follow the road to Calle Mayor, which leads directly to the beach.
s’Arenalet de na Clara
S'Arenalet de na Clara (also known as Cala Na Clara) is a paradisiacal cove in eastern Mallorca, with fine sand and large stone boulders. The water is crystal-clear, with a turquoise-green hue, and the cove is surrounded by steep slopes and pine trees, giving it a remote, Caribbean-like atmosphere. This cove has no services. To reach s'Arenalet de na Clara, take the C-712 and turn towards Colònia de Sant Pere. After the Betlem residential area, park and continue on foot for about 2 km.
