Beaches and coves in Calvià

In the municipality of Calvià, you will find not only the British areas of Magaluf and Palmanova or the beaches favored by Germans in Santa Ponça or Peguera. There are also popular beaches among the residents of Palma in Illetas and many small, romantic coves that can only be reached by boat. Many countries would wish to have just a fraction of the beaches that Calvià offers.

Cala Bella Dona

Cala Bella Dona is a small and peaceful natural spot in the south of Mallorca, characterized by its very light sand and crystal-clear waters. This undeveloped paradise offers a completely natural setting, with shade provided by the surrounding trees, but no services available. The beach is known as a naturist spot. It can be accessed by descending a staircase from the Sol de Mallorca residential area, which is reached via the C-719. The cove is located to the left of the residential area.

Cala Contesa

Cala Contesa is a small and charming cove located near Palma. It is surrounded by a pine forest and offers crystal-clear, turquoise waters. The beach has a kiosk and showers, and it is one of the three beach sections in Illetes. To get there, follow the C-719 and take the turnoff towards Es Fortí. From there, a small staircase will take you directly to the beach.

To reach Playa del Mago (Platja del Mago), take the C-719 towards Andratx, turning off after Magaluf towards Portals Vells. Free parking is available.

Son Caliú

Paddleboard rentals are also available. To get there, follow the C-719 and turn onto Calle Miguel Machado before reaching Palmanova.
