Botanicactus - Cactus garden near Ses Salines

In the 50,000-square-meter cactus garden of the botanical garden “Botanicactus” near Ses Salines, more than 400 species from around the world grow. Among them are impressive specimens like the 300-year-old Carnegiea gigantea, originally from Arizona.

Diverse cactus collection at Botanicactus

With a total area of 150,000 square meters, the facility, inaugurated in 1988, is one of the largest botanical gardens in Europe. It may even feature the largest navigable artificial lake in the world. The biotopes with endemic plants alternate with tropical and arid landscapes.

The garden’s architecture is also spectacular: from shaded walkways and artificial hills to original water features, everything is offered to make this a green paradise. Highlights include an authentic Arab waterwheel and a Mallorcan windmill with its pond, used as a fish pond.

Opening Hours

The botanical garden is open every day of the week.

  • March: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • April to August: 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • September: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • November to February: 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM

The entrance fee is €10.50 for adults and €4.50 for children up to 12 years old.
