Viewpoints in Mallorca - The scenic C-710 road

By Verena Gemmel, updated on

With this landscape, you’ll want to become one with it! Anyone who discovers the scenic C-710 highway, which winds over the west coast of Mallorca, will be enchanted forever. We’ll tell you where you can enjoy the most breathtaking views of the sea, rock formations, and vegetation!

Ricardo Roca Viewpoint

If you head out from Andratx on the C-710, you will reach, just a few kilometers from the picturesque village of Tramuntana, Estellencs, the Mirador Ricardo Roca. Right next to it is the restaurant Es Grau with parking available. The viewpoint is located on a rock 400 meters above the sea, through which runs a short road tunnel.

Access to the observation deck is via a staircase. Let your gaze wander along the coast and mentally soak in the turquoise blue sea. The water along the coast is so clear that, despite the distance, you can see the stones on the bottom. From a bird’s-eye view, the boats in the sea look like tiny toys.

Ses Animes Lookout/ Punta d’es Verger

The west coast of the island is dotted with numerous Talaies (watchtowers). In the 16th century, these towers formed a sophisticated system of smoke and fire signals that spanned the entire island, designed to protect against pirate attacks.

Nowadays, tourists visit these natural Mallorcan stone monuments. In the nineteenth century, the Austrian Archduke Luis Salvador restored many of these towers in his Tramuntana kingdom, including the well-preserved Mirador de Ses Animes (current name: Mirador Torre del Verger) between Estellencs and Banyalbufar. From here, you get a five-star view over the hanging gardens of Banyalbufar!

Península de Sa Foradada

From the historic estate of Son Marroig of Archduke Luis Salvador, between Valldemossa and Deià, dreamlike landscapes also unfold.

Son Marroig interior patio featuring a central tree in a serene setting.

With a museum ticket, you can stroll through the property’s garden. From the small marble pavilion, you’ll have a great view of the rugged Sa Foradada peninsula. Or if you prefer, you can sit at the mansion’s restaurant, complete with views of Sa Foradada!
