The large weekly market behind the historic city wall of Alcúdia invites you to shop on Tuesdays and Sundays from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Historical Setting and Market Experience
For many tourists, the city of Alcúdia is the most beautiful on the island. Surrounded by the ancient wall and adorned with colorful flags, the well-maintained and sturdy streets, with their numerous shops, cafés, and restaurants, seem like a vestige of the Middle Ages. Especially when the vendors call out at the weekly market and the horse-drawn carriages come and go.
Varied offer
In addition to fruits and vegetables, you can buy leather goods, shoes, jewelry, textiles, sweets, fish, meat, spices, and much more. For some time now, you can also find fresh fruits and vegetables on Fridays at the smaller market in Port de Alcúdia.
Useful information and parking options
Along a section of the beautiful promenade, you will find around 30 stalls offering culinary delights. By the way, you can climb the historic city wall, from where you have a wonderful view of the sea, the surrounding mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana, the Bay of Pollensa, and, on market days, the colorful stalls in the city center.
Right in front of the gate of the ancient wall, there is a large parking lot available, and in general, parking in the old town of Alcúdia is not very difficult. For those who don’t want to worry about parking, walking from the tourist area of Port de Alcúdia to the old town of Alcúdia only takes about 20 minutes.
