What connects Richard with Mallorca?
- Richard fell madly in love with the island and the hospitality of the Mallorcans on his first trip to Mallorca over 25 years ago.
- As a resident of Palma de Mallorca, Richard appreciates the authentic “Spanish” life, without forgetting his roots.
- In addition to his native German, Richard speaks Spanish and English fluently. He has many local contacts and is constantly working to improve his Catalan.
Every year, millions of tourists invade the island, and yet, the Mallorcans welcome each one of them.

Richard’s favorite places in Mallorca
The capital, Palma, is a place that always fascinates Richard. Especially in winter, when many residents are on vacation and Palma is full of Spanish life, Richard enjoys the city’s authentic atmosphere.
He appreciates the blend of historical sites, such as the majestic Cathedral of La Seu, and the cultural diversity that Palma offers. He has lived for many years in Ciudad Jardín and now resides in the center of the island’s capital.
As a lover of culture and nature, he explores the beauty of Mallorca in all its facets. He loves hiking in the Serra de Tramuntana, as well as visiting the most authentic coastal towns and villages in the island’s interior.
The numerous local festivals celebrated across the island have especially won Richard’s heart. Whether in small villages or the capital, Palma, immersing himself in the cultural traditions of the Mallorcans and experiencing the hospitality of the locals is something special for him every time.
